I am a web programmer, and I am also very interested in distributed and P2P technologies. During last few years JavaScript developed into rather fast and performant language. It has also become fully-featured server-side language, due to Node.js

Erlang is often used in modern NoSQL databases and messaging software (CouchDB, Ejabberd, RabbitMQ, Riak)

Did anybody hear of any plans to implement some kind of DDS solution for these two languages (by the way, RabbitMQ implements AMQP - protocol which is often compared to DDS)

Hello Ilya,

An Erlang Language mapping for OpenSplice would be quite neat. I've been running several incubator projects to create new API for DDS among which the Scala API. If there is the interest of the community we could kickstart an Erlang binding project for OpenSplice.

For the time being, perhaps you could take a look at Escalier (https://github.com/kydos/escalier) -- our Scala binding.

Cheers,
Angelo
