Did someone have use the DDSI service?

my config file ospl_ddsi.xml contents is:

<opensplice>
<domain>
<name>OpenSplice-DDSiV5.2.0</name>
<database>
<size>10485760</size>
</database>
<lease>
<expirytime>60.0</expirytime>
</lease>
<service>
<command>ddsi</command>
</service>
</domain>
<ddsiservice>
<channels>
<channel>
<portnr>53340</portnr>
</channel>
</channels>
<discovery>
<portnr>7400</portnr>
</discovery>
<partitioning>
<globalpartition>
</partitioning>
</ddsiservice>
</opensplice>

But when I run the pingpong demo, the error log file is:

===============
Report : ERROR
Date : Mon Aug 16 17:05:21 2010
Description : pthread_join failed with error 3
Node : Jan
Process : ddsi <1739>
Thread : main thread b78d06d0
Internals : V5.2.0/os_threadWaitExit/os_thread.c/461/2/164913238

Can someone give some advice? :-)

Hi Jan Lee,

Could you please post OpenSplice DDS specific questions on the OpenSplice DDS forum (http://forums.opensplice.org) as this forum is intended to be vendor/product-neutral.

W.r.t. your question, I'm not sure you're using the configuration-file as provided with the distribution which should look like this:

<opensplice>
<domain>
<name>OpenSplice-DDSiV5.2.0</name>
<database>
<size>10485760</size>
</database>
<lease>
<expirytime>60.0</expirytime>
</lease>
<service>
<command>ddsi</command>
</service>
</domain>

<ddsiservice>
<channels>
<channel>
<portnr>53340</portnr>
</channel>
</channels>
<discovery>
<portnr>7400</portnr>
</discovery>
<partitioning>
<globalpartition>
</partitioning>
</ddsiservice>

</opensplice>

Thanks,
Hans

sorry, the copy/paste thing doesn't seem to work OK with xml-files, so better post your question on the OpenSplice-DDS forum which handles these correctly ...

Thanks,
Hans
