Suppose there are two box "A" and "B".

I have installed DDS on both the boxes.

a)InfoRepo(global data space) is running on box "A".
b)I am trying to run publisher and subscriber on box "B".and connect to Inforepo running on box "A".

I have changed the local addess given in sub.ini and pub.ini for publisher and subscriber as shown below.

I am not able to create the participant.
I am trying with test "/tests/DCPS/Prst_delayed_subscriber"

#The local endpoint.

where is the ip addess of box "A"(running inforepo)

when I am running the subscriber:--

././subscriber -DCPSBit 0 -ORBSvcConf tcp.conf -DCPSConfigFile sub.ini

(9169|3086665424)ignore DCPSBit config value, use command option.
(9169|3086665424) EXCEPTION, ERROR: System Exception in DomainParticipantFactoryImpl::create_participant
system exception, ID ''
OMG minor code (2), described as 'No usable profile in IOR.', completed = NO

create_participant failed.

kindly tell me how we can make this connection.

Hello Pankaj,

It looks like you are using OpenDDS for your tests. The questions you are posing are very specific to that implementation and have nothing to do with DDS in general.
If nobody answers your question here, it might be an idea to pose them to the OpenDDS people directly.

Good luck,

please go through the question again, i think it is directly related to DDS only.

The fact that I can tell from your questions that you are using the OpenDDS implementation proves that they are vendor-specific, doesn't it?

Anyway, I looked up the OpenDDS manuals for you: you can find them at . Section 31.4.8 is called "Configuring the Example" -- hope this helps

Thanks Reinier,

Can you please tell me what are publisher id (publisher_id) and subscriber id(subscriber_id).

when I am trying to connect publisher and subscriber running on seperate m/cs.

I am getting error:

(18788|1084229952) ERROR: Failed to connect. connect: Connection refused
(18788|1084229952) ERROR: Failed to make active connection.

(18788|1084229952) ERROR: TransportImpl subclass was unable to find or create a DataLink for local publisher_id (11) to remote subscriber_id (12).

(18788|1084229952) ERROR: Failed to reserve a DataLink with the TransportImpl for association from local [publisher_id 11] to remote [subscriber_id 12].

you have any idea for solving this error.

Did you ever find an answer to this problem? I have a very similar configuration and am experiencing the same error. Thank you for any help you may be able to provide.
