What are the best practices of writing IDL files and prevent ourself from errors like identifier redeclared while generating code using modeler for our c++ application.

like :-
(1) Best practices writing an idl file.
(2) including one idl into another?
(3) Accessing topics/structures fields
from other idls.

Is there any documentation on molder and idl files?

Hi

A good resource for designing IDL and DDS data modelling in general is
http://www.prismtech.com/products/vortex/resources/demand-webcasts/art-and-scien ce-dds-data-modeling

For including one idl file into another it is just a simple #include at the top of the IDL file that will pull another one in. If an IDL is included into another you can reference it's variables as simply moduleName::structName

I would consider it good practice to have a one module defined in each IDL file, but you're free to open and add to the same named module across multiple files.

Do you have a specific error?
